On Thursday, May 11 at 8:00 p.m., WCNY-TV will host Bloom: The Toxic Threat to the Finger Lakes, a film about recent outbreaks of cyanobacteria in all eleven Finger Lakes. Also known as harmful algal blooms or toxic algae, these blooms threaten drinking water as well as the multi-billion-dollar tourism economy across Central New York.
